Dr. Mark Goulston is one of the foremost experts and practitioners of empathic listening in the world. His book, “Just Listen,” became the top book on listening in the world and he speaks internationally including recently in Moscow to managers from the Russian Federation on using listening and empathy to have more positive impact on their people.
A UCLA professor of psychiatry for more than twenty five years, he has been an expert on intervening in suicide and violence and has trained FBI and police hostage negotiators. He appears frequently as a guest expert including: CNN, ABC/CBS/NBC/BBC News and hosts the weekly “Prison Letters” podcast where he reads and responds to letters from inmates who have read his book, Get Out of Your Own Way, which has been in the top ten of self help books at Amazon for ten years.
His most recent book, Talking to Crazy has been featured on Oprah.com and was a finalist in the Audible book Oscars in 2016.
